The current solution is a slab of concrete, poured over the hazard. This solution is mainly because of the proximity to the sea and the fast erosion of concrete that comes with it, short sighted and insufficient. It is a good example of the dysfunctioning metabolism of our cities that creates waste and with it inequality into our environment. This location marks a leverage point in the city fabric. Aspiring a radical change here, would have an enormous influence.
