My project deals with the endless pursuit and oppression that humanity experiences due to the pressure and the coercion exerted on us from every institutional and systemic body that has rules and regulations that we are forced to obey. I started working on the material without any initial direction, guiding idea, definition of gender, or sticking to any rules of pattern-making or work. The concept and the clothes came to life, changed and sharpened over time. I created my own patterns and sometimes used only two basic patterns (buttoned shirt and pants), which I developed by canceling, moving seams, detaching and relocating a button, sleeves, pockets, exaggeration of the collar, cuff — combining authentic and raw materials with Western industrial materials into a collection. Materials: A variety of clothes and bed covers, organic cotton, industrial cotton, wool, leather, ceramic, iron Techniques: Draping, sculpting, blacksmithing Mentor: Claudette Zorea Theoretical Advising: Dr. Tal Frenkel Alroy
