    In my imagination

I grew up hearing stories about Morocco. I imagined "Balagn", disorder, culture within culture. I saw a dazzling journey of senses, smells of spices, vivid and concentrated colors. I saw Judaism and Islam. I saw the European culture in the shade of the African sun. In my imagination, I walked barefoot on large sand dunes with palm trees. I saw vendors shouting in the markets, selling suits and sandals. I saw blue cities and wandering camels. I create my own experience from the stories of my imagination, looking for textures that describe the landscapes and desert dunes. From the connection to the art world, I combine textures that are intuitively done using manual techniques. Materials: Cotton, linen, embroidery threads, wool threads, upholstery fabric Techniques: Embroidery, paint on canvas Mentor: Doron Ashkenazi Theoretical Advising: Dr. Tal Frenkel Alroy
