OverallOver

For my final project, I chose to use the overall as a tool to re-examine societal norms. The primary objective of the overall is a functional body-covering that can be used as work clothing. It erases the assumption of gender in that both men and women can wear it and erases the individual through uniformity, emphasizing the hierarchies between classes. In the process of research, construction, and deconstruction, I moved into a more attentive and intuitive space, freeing the process to develop on its own.
